Indeed, these pictures only cover a small percent of how my summer went. I wish i had the time [and diligence] to post regular blog entries over vacation. Well, these are just small glimses of the past week, not ever covering my big family camping trip in August ,which was by the way, made more priceless memories just like it does each year.

My new favorite color name, courtesy of Coraline, is now Chartreuse. Surpassed cerulean as the most beautiful color label. Dont you love how words carry a certain mood, connotation, and power within in constant and vowels? A word can be crisp, sinuous, ethereal...just by the way it can make you curl your lip or draw out certain letters. Add in emphasis, accents, inflections, tones, sentence styling and the linguistic possiblities are endless. Step into how body language, hand gestures, minute facial expressions, nuances affect meaning and understanding and you have an elaborate dance. Words are amazing and the human conversation fasinates me.
Submariners, a band shoot.

A glass tunnel allowed us the view marine life, we were fortunate to catch a glance at ab elusive wild scuba diver!

Jeremy and Daniel's disturbing behavior towards the stuffed animals almost mirror each other.
Brendan and me rest our poor little legs here and stalked the gargantuan Arawana and catfish. [ Dragonfish]

Hello there!
We're in the tropical dome, where outlandish butterflies and exotic birds roam among imported plants.

Award for Most Fascinating, mr. albino alligator. This photo simply doesnt do him justice and i strongly strongly suggest you take a trip and see him for yourself. This beauty [ , guy?] is spellbinding to watch, must have been there for 15 minutes at least. He's [She's ?] housed in a swamp like exhibit with some GIANT tortoises and I felt this strange urge to fling myself into it.
ACADEMY OF SCIENCE!

talking and hanging at the park...
Vickie and me planned Brendan's very first birthday party! Totally fun to make the posters and cards with everyone plus sticking horror pictures on his presents [ Hes squeamish and gets nightmares from scary movie trailers so that was fun!]. Nice turnout and his presents include: nice metal razor, acne cream and face wash, teddy bear...arent we practical?

dear blog, Ive neglected you.

I will share you a story for today. Only because it was something horrible that happened to me, i had to walk home!

You know how blindingly hot San Jose was? Hot enough to stir fry my brain and reduce me into a sweating beast. Standing in the last shade of the parking lot looking out into the blacktop i watched heat waves glistening in the air and creating oil slick mirages. Fmylife guys, Fmylife. Jeremy, Daniel and Richard stood next to me and peered glumly at the sky and pulled uncomfortably at their jeans. I shifted in my toasty Emu boots took off my cotton drawsring shirt and tugged on my tank top. We set off, stopping on the way for me to snag some snapple baby green tea and Jeremy to pick up a slurpie thing. Let me just tell it was the worst walk Ive ever had, I can feel the UV rays broiling me alive in this giant oven i am forced to trek through. And for a mile I had to carry my heavy textbook and my big messenger bag. Plus when i was just 5 minutes to reaching my house, guess who pulls up in his car and laughs? My dad.

Thank God I had refreshing cool waterpolo after.

INK

So, my little brother has come home from his week-long Boyscoutin' adventure in a God knows where place, Bristlecone. Of course we had to celebrate with a trip to Borders' bookstore after dinner! We arranged two freestanding wooden chairs in a corner of the bookstore and read. While he pursues his graphic novel "Black Cat" I pursued slightly more mature subjects . While leafing through Street style pictures and modern fashion illustration books I happened upon two artist that instantly captured my hearts. Their choice of media was Watercolour and ink work. Both have a modern art nouveau style[ think graceful women, swirling intricate details, soft colours, nature inspired] which I happen to adore. So, anyways I pulled a pen out of my bag and scribbled their names on a band aid wrapper so I could share these wonderful artist with you!

Special Extended DVD Edition of...

Lord of the Rings Trilogy was lent to me.
Which lead me to my current obsession : Legolas Greenleaf

Hm, so each movie comes with four discs. So, Ive pretty much been staying up at night watching all the extras. More importantly, watching Orlando Bloom's interviews

B L A S T

Summers been good to me! Even summer school has been thouroughly enjoyable, made some close friends there : Olive, Pete, and Ann , I adore you guys! We can talk about anything and just really hit it off, and once again, i was the youngest of the group being a junior and all. Good new, i passed the Precalc course with a beautiful A+ for first semester, and an equally gorgeous A for the second. Horrah, only problem is? Calculus classes are filled as of this year... My only chance is to contact the office and see what they can do. Or else, its Statistics for my junior year, which isnt all that bad actually.
