oh my god.
i just watched the movie Jodhaa Akbar, which by the way was 4 hours, and it was simply
AWE-INSPIRING. the culture of India is simply gorgeous, this movie took place inside of a palace and everything is wow. you can sort of see inside of the clip below. not the same however, i watched at Amiee and Christine Gohil's house on their giant TV. you can see all the intricate details, especially the jewelry and architecture. no surface is left bare and all decorations are precise and beautiful. Engravings of peacocks, lotus flowers, chains, feathers, trawling vines...on the high walls and pavilions. Screens for sleeping are also delicately wrought of white wood, looking like fine lace. the pavilions have light sheets of transparent silk,
ok. describing is no good. you must see it for yourself. watch the movie.
Bela Shende is so pretty; her eyes are wide and her voice is lovely. i cant stop listening!
i want a nose ring. a giant one. and layers of gold jewlery for my hair, neck, and wrists. she is adorned from the tips of her painted toes to the medallion on her forehead.
the clothes are vividly colorful and delicate.
Mehendi; or henna, really intricate, temporary herb based .
